The details:

The purpose of the Change Management Specialist is to articulate the change strategy for the program/s, and to ensure the purpose and intent of the programs are clearly articulated, outcomes are delivered on time and critically there is successful employee adoption.

The Change Management Specialist will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. In doing so will be an advocate for employee’s experience and achieving a smooth transition.

Contract starting ASAP until 22d July 2022.

High effective change management implementation

  • Articulate the change strategy for the program through a structured change management implementation strategy, including stakeholder engagement and communication plans;
  • Identify the expected and potential points of resistance to change and develop counter strategies to reduce the resistance and address the doubts and uncertainty surrounding the change to foster a positive acceptance of change;
  • Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders to ensure successful change outcomes, aligning each program with an Initiative Owner and change champions; and
  • Actively be a strong lead in the business deployment of the programs and support the transition into business as usual activity to ensure changes have effectively been implemented and embedded into business and culture.
Develop the capability of the division to be change ready for improvement opportunities focussed on innovation, customers & efficiencies in service delivery
  • Build and embed effective change management capability across the division through consistent, fit for purpose systems, processes and governance; and
  • Provide coaching and advice to divisional leaders and teams to increase capability to enable early identification of opportunities to improve processes, address issues and ensure positive outcomes are achieved.
Highly effective stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Support the leadership with a range of strategic and operational documents as required, including briefing papers, discussion papers, reports, submissions and responses to information requests; and
  • Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and strategic partnerships to support divisional operational & strategic outcomes.
Education and Qualifications

Essential
  • Relevant degree level qualification in Management, Business, or a related discipline;
OR
  • Post-Graduate level qualifications in Business Administration, Organisational Strategy, or another relevant area or a lesser qualification coupled with significant applied experience in this field; and
  • Change Management Certification.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Significant experience developing and implementing operational change strategies including identification of need, mentoring initiative owners and champions of change, stakeholder assessment, communication strategies, training needs analysis and evaluation of change outcomes;
  • Sound financial and commercial knowledge and experience;
  • Demonstrated high level written, interpersonal and oral communication skills, including the ability to liaise, negotiate and consult with senior management and a diverse range of stakeholders, customers on strategic and operational issues;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience in influencing a wide range of stakeholders to deliver complex programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and role model key people management processes including safety, ensuring consistent application across a large or complex business;
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into operational plans, ensuring that planning; demonstrates measurable, cost-effective delivery of key outcomes and clear alignment to strategic initiatives;
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the drivers of organisational strategy and business performance; and
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and drive change and development initiatives to demonstrably improve employee engagement, capability, and performance.
