Description

The Simulation Coordinator supports clinical education and training across the State of Queensland for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Using industry standards and established best practice, this role is responsible for coordination of clinical simulation activities, care of equipment and maintaining relationships with vendors, donors and staff.

The Simulation Coordinator is a Full-Time position based in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Provide support and simulation coordination to clinical educators, across Queensland bases
  • Maintenance of all clinical education training equipment i.e.- manikins and audio-visual equipment
  • Ongoing management of all vendor relationships related to clinical simulation technologies and education
  • Set up and running of clinical simulation training activities including scheduling and facilitation support
  • Ordering, restocking and management of all related training consumables
Who we are looking for?

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
  • Experience in healthcare simulation in a healthcare delivery setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Mechanical skills to competently maintain and use equipment in the simulation learning environment
  • Clinical knowledge and experience working in an acute healthcare setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional software programs, including audio-visual and computerised simulation equipment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High degree of self-motivation, self-direction and autonomy
  • The ability to travel regularly to all RFDS Queensland Bases
