The Product Manager for Digital Voice products will be responsible for delivering and managing exciting new products that will position Optus to become Australia’s most loved everyday brand with lasting customer relationships.

This role will take an end-to-end perspective on product development. It will follow products from the initial ideation, lead the customer testing, business casing, technical scoping of the idea, pitch for funding, be the product lead through development, and then play a leading role of operational management of the product as it matures. In doing so, it will work closely with a range of stakeholders across Optus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver multiple products to market on the Digital Voice roadmap
  • Conceptualise product initiatives with clear benefits and robust customer validation
  • Thought leadership in defining areas of the New Products roadmap
  • Deliver large EBITDA benefits from products delivered to market per the business case
  • Influence key senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of the strategic vision and product initiatives
  • Manage products in market, including identifying and leading key opportunities for growth
  • Lead the creation of an Agile product practice through the design and implementation of product initiatives
  • Managing teams (either virtual ‘waterfall’ teams, or dedicated Agile teams) to tackle complex enterprise-wide challenges
  • Securing capex required to deliver key transformative products
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture that creates and sustains a climate of continuous learning and excellence
  • Inspiring change across Optus by modelling Optus company values and demonstrating leadership behaviours
  • Work flexibly and adaptively in a fast paced, always changing environment
  • Ensure products have accurate, timely reporting in place
  • Relevant Bachelor degree from a top university
  • 8 years professional experience in product management, product design, customer experience and/or strategic roles
  • Digital product design
  • Knowledge of the Australian Internet / multimedia/ consumer products industry
  • Enterprise leadership
  • Stakeholder management and influencing
  • Virtual team management
  • Experience in Agile product delivery environment is beneficial
  • Experience in Voice UI, Voice assistants and AI would be beneficial
