My client is a well known retail e-commerce brand with a strong global presence. They are an innovative business with an exceptional business culture and provide flexible working arrangements for their staff. Their office is based in the northern suburbs.

Job Description

This role self-starter who requires minimal supervision, strong candidates will be comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. This person will be customer-focused and have proven success in building data-driven integrated marketing campaigns across brands of different sizes and budgets.

The Brand Strategy & Social Manager will lead in defining and implementing comprehensive brand strategies, key messaging frameworks, and will work with the greater marketing team to roll out integrated campaign plans across all marketing channels to advance the brand awareness, consideration and support the business goals.

The role will have direct two reports, working specifically in the Social Media space.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AU/NZ brand strategies, aligned with the businesses brand values, including brand positioning, key messaging, and integration with E-Commerce platform.
  • Work closely with GM Marketing & Comms, the Digital Marketing Manager and greater marketing team on the development of best practice, data-driven, customer-focused marketing campaigns.
  • Lead on analysis of campaigns, with regular monitoring to understand effectiveness in market and making recommendations for improvement through post-campaign analysis and reporting.
  • Lead on a competitive pitch process for the appointment of an agency partner for the launch of a major new brand campaign.
  • Manage agency relationships (brand, experiential & creative).
  • Manage the national budget for Brand Strategy and Social Media - reporting on effectiveness and efficiency of spend.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback to in-house Digital Designer and agency teams to ensure alignment with campaign goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute high quality integrated marketing campaigns and activations to support business goals.
  • Deliver briefs (internal and external stakeholders) which are insight-driven and customer-focused in order to drive creative development and brand strategy across marketing channels.
  • Develop Social Media strategy and roll-out processes within the in-house team.
  • Implement best practice to enhance efficiency and impact of all marketing activities.
  • Identify and refine target audience(s), regularly monitoring and identifying strategies to maintain relevance and impact in market.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, across various business units and teams within the E-commerce team across ANZ, and with external agencies and partners for the successful development and roll-out of campaigns.

The Successful Applicant

Experience and attributes

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing brands in market, including social media and digital landscapes.
  • Track record of building strong brands in Australia, international experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience in managing multiple brand portfolios.
  • Experience across brands of different levels, including start-ups and major established brands is preferred.
  • Experience in direct selling or eCommerce organisations is a bonus.
  • Proven experience in customer-focused, data-led planning leading to impactful brand management.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented yet creative.
  • Strong leadership experience, team-oriented and passion for mentorship.
  • Strong communicator both in-person and written, experience interacting at senior levels and presenting marketing strategies to gain alignment.
  • Strong inter-personal and relationship management skills.
  • Strong project management experience, including managing agency relationships.
  • Experience in managing competitive briefing process for agency.
  • Positive, abundance mindset and strong connection with their brand values.
  • Ability to be flexible when needed and shows strong initiative.
