Senior Project Officer – Corrections Industry and Capacity, CSNSW

  • Clerk Grade 9/10
  • Ongoing Full-Time
  • Location: Windsor
  • Base Salary ($111,077), plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About us:

The Department of Communities and Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards and advising on law reform and legal matters.

Corrective Services NSW employs trade Overseers, Senior Overseers and Managers in Corrective Services Industries (CSI) providing inmates in correctional centres with vocational training in service and commercial industries to improve their employment opportunities when they are released from custody. Employment is a proven factor in reducing the risk of re-offending.

About the role:

The Senior Project Officer (Manager Compliance and Performance) undertakes research and provides high level advice on all matters relating to the portfolio of the Assistant Commissioner. In this role you will be responsible for leading and developing high-level reports, submissions and briefing notes required by relevant internal and external stakeholders within set timeframes.

About you:
 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • High-level written skills to generate quality reports, submissions and briefing notes
  • Strong communication skills; being able to undertake research, provide advice and suitable recommendations to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Be able to maintain strict confidentiality and integrity over sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and time sensitive environment
  • Proficient computer literacy skills

Experience and knowledge in Project Management, Executive/Governance Advisor and Communication is desirable

Essential Requirements:

  • High level written communication and oral skills
  • Desired experience and knowledge on State Government
  • Holder of a current NSW driver license
