About Us 
The Woolworths’ Group Procurement team is a highly regarded support function across the Woolworths Group businesses and our role is to provide thought leadership, best practise advice and deliver a service that adds value to our business partners.

The team is positioned very well as a business partner to drive change and continuous improvement across the business whilst continually focussed on providing excellent customer experiences to stakeholders. The Woolworths’ Group Procurement operating model ensures that we are a high performing team providing the best service to our customers.

How you will add value 
Reporting through to the General Manager Procurement and as a member of the Procurement Leadership Team, your time will be spent contributing to the continued progression of our high performing Procurement function, plus coaching and developing an exceptional team of Marketing & Corporate Services Portfolio Managers and Category Managers, as well as:

  • Building organisational procurement capability, in order to execute the group-wide business strategy.
  • Being a Strategic Enabler for growth.
  • Developing and executing Category Strategies with key stakeholders across Woolworths Group.
  • Bringing innovation to and re-engineering of the supply engagements in order to reduce overall costs to the business.
  • Support the business stakeholders in achieving Annual Operating Plan targets and productivity ambitions targets.
  • Managing the quality of all non-trade goods procured, both domestically and internationally.
  • Managing an enterprise-wide direct portfolio of $1.2 billion in non-trade goods & services spend.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualified in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar procurement role and at a senior leadership level.
  • Relevant professional accreditation or certification, such as MCIPS.
  • Have successfully managed a large team of people building a high performance culture
  • Negotiated major strategic and complex deals that delivered significant commercial outcomes across some of the relevant categories within Marketing & Corporate Services.
  • Sound appreciation of category management principles and processes, with an understanding of contract law.
  • Proven experience in managing multi-million dollar spend portfolio’s across large organisations.
  • Proven track record in delivering significant and sustainable EBITDA benefits year on year.
  • Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills with the ability to manage cross functional teams and large stakeholder groups
