The Speech Pathologist position involves:

  • working collaboratively as one of two Speech Pathologists in a small multidisciplinary team
  • working with children with a range of disabilities, developmental delays and learning difficulties and their families
  • providing therapy and supports in various settings (home, school and community) across the region
  • developing and delivering workshops and group sessions for children and families

The skills and experience required for the role are:

  • knowledge and experience in speech therapy, especially working with children and families
  • experience using client and family centred practices and delivering therapy in various environments
  • experience working effectively in a team environment, including strong communication skills
  • understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the disability sector
  • skills with computer applications including Microsoft Office and electronic client management systems
  • current financial practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia with Certified Practising Speech Pathologist CPSP status
  • current driver’s licence; a valid Medicare Provider Number; Working With Children Check (WWCC); and National Police Check
