JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with experience in construction to become part of our Electrical business.

  • 2 or 3 days per week – between 15 to 25 hours per week
  • Maidstone Location
  • Pay Rate Range Between $26 - $35 per hour for the right candidate
  • Permanent Position

This position requires a positive and outgoing attitude, possessing a good working knowledge of the following:

  • Processing fortnightly time sheets & payroll for site and office staff incorporating time clocks between 5 to 10 employees
  • Day-to-day running of the office
  • Dealing with Progress Payments & Retention Claims
  • Dealing with pay related queries & Workers' Compensation
  • Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable - invoice processing, account statements, reconciliations, payments, maintenance of files and records, customer & suppliers’ enquiries, credit card processing and reconciliations
  • Assisting with calculation of Payroll Tax, PAYG and Workers Compensation
  • Maintain data base, files and records for accounts and payroll
  • Month end processing
  • Assist with daily banking including reconciliation of accounts
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Invoice Processing & Filing Management
  • Assist with entry of Customer Orders
  • Setting up new employees in the system
  • Other administration task as directed

Candidates must also have:

  • Good working knowledge of MYOB
  • Good working knowledge of General Ledger
  • Excellent computer skills with proven word and excel knowledge
  • Diligent and a dynamic team player
  • Experience in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Minimum of 1 years of Account Administration
  • Minimum of 1-year payroll experience
  • Fluent in English skills (both oral and written)
