Scanning Pens is the global re-seller of C-Pen products, smart pens that assist those with reading difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, mild cognitive impairment or auditory & visual processing disorders. The pens also assist those with low reading levels. Our main markets are education (primary & secondary schools), healthcare (NDIS, speech pathologists), libraries, government & private users. Scanning Pens is a registered NDIS Provider.

Our office is situated in O’Connell St, North Parramatta opposite the Parramatta Leagues Club. We currently have a small team of seven staff. Due to encouraging business growth we are increasing our team and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join us immediately. This role is full-time, but we would consider part-time employment on a pro-rata basis. Sydney based applicants are preferred but we consider applicants from Melbourne.

Experience in the education or healthcare sectors would be an advantage.

*Primary Role*

You will be working closely with the Country Manager to help build revenue for the company, primarily in areas outside of the education sector. The role will involve analysis of existing and new markets and developing opportunities and generating sales within these sectors.

*Principal responsibilities*

· Researching and developing new & existing markets for the C-Pens

· Generating trials & sales from new customers

· Sales & marketing projects

· Attending trade shows & hosting webinars

· Preparing formal proposals

· Reporting

*Technical knowledge, professional qualifications and experience*

· Good organisational and communication skills

· Efficient time management and ability to work independently

· Good understanding of English language (both written and spoken)

· Microsoft Office incl Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint

· Good email etiquette

· NetSuite (training will be provided)
