The Role

To ensure the company's continued development, there is an urgent need for a Finance Manager or Financial Reporting Specialist with the main responsibilities:

  • Execute technically complex month-end processes and conduct general ledger reconciliations.
  • Investigate accounting and reporting issues and create efficient solutions.
  • Compose and document accounting and reporting file notes.
  • Co-ordinate statutory reporting and develop consolidated group statements for local and international subsidiaries.
  • Develop and strengthen business processes and systems through projects involving key stakeholders and other departments.
  • Develop and assemble reports as required by local and international regulatory bodies.
  • Create operational harmonies through the alignment of tax strategies with business goals.
  • Identify business operations with potential tax exposures, forecast tax liabilities and manage the company's tax compliance calendar.
  • Co-operate and communicate with auditors, regulatory bodies and national taxation offices as required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career in a well-respected institution and offers the chance to network with an array of professionals in the field globally. Whilst this is a 6-month contract, this company is looking to list in the near future which could be the reason for a significant extension or permanent position.



To Succeed

The perfect candidate will fit the following criteria:

  • CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 10 years' in accounting.
  • Robust and complete understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience working with both Australian and international taxation standards is desirable.
  • A professional background in an institution that maintains distinctly technical accounting standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • A thorough understanding of accounting software packages.
  • Well documented experience in preparing group consolidated financial statements.
