About the Opportunity

Due to a recent internal promotion, Haymes Paint now has a vacancy for a State Sales Manager to lead the sales team in Queensland.

Working closely with the National Trade Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Haymes Paint’s market share, across all major customer segments, with a focus on trade repaint, commercial, and new home market segments.

A key challenge of this role will be to strengthen both existing and new market share growth into a consistent, sustainable and strategic trade sales, product and support offering, utilising a strong market understanding of local and national trade channels.

About You

To be successful you will need significant, sales leadership experience, on a divisional, region or state level. Also, a strong sales background in industries such as construction services, building materials or other trade including paint business to business related roles. A demonstrated understanding of the paint industry, or the ability to quickly learn about its specific challenges and market segments will be essential, with an understanding of independent paint and/or retail sales preferred.

It's crucial that you are a visible customer and people focused business leader, able to build relationships with a variety of external plus internal stakeholders and drive new initiatives, with an understanding of how the strategies fit within the broader goals of the business.

The desire to be lead from the front and work infield with sales team members is critically important, therefore flexibility to travel will be required.

As we are a people focused organisation, demonstrating empathy, having a problem-solving mindset, plus emotional maturity and resilience are important traits you will possess.

With excellent business acumen, you are well versed at translating business plans and visions into consistent operational standards, and be able to drive customer-savvy service provision, whilst effectively balancing the need for local diversity as well as corporate unity.

You'll be highly computer literate and able to effectively manage competing deadlines plus demands to ensure the successful delivery of a range of projects and outcomes.
