Headquartered at the UOW Innovation Campus in Wollongong, Droppoint is in the process of expanding its scale and reach, supported by its growing and attractive industry niche, strong market position and partnership with Armitage Associates. This has led to the need for an internal Finance Manager to join our Finance function, reporting directly to the CEO.

Position Overview

The Finance Manager role, is a new, full time position within Droppoint and will be responsible for the Finance function and will work closely with the CEO and Board in executing the financial objectives of Droppoint. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax, audit, budgeting, financial statement generation and financial reporting.

Our Successful Candidate Requirements

  • Financial management and administration experience 
  • A proven track record in managing and delivering across the functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial and management reporting, statutory and tax compliance
  • Commercial accounting experience 

Technical Skills - Essential

  • CA or CPA qualified 
  • The financial and commercial skills required to oversee the financial function of a growing business 
  • Ability to work with senior management to improve performance measures, ensure that they are understood, accepted and acted upon throughout the business
  • Ability to present (written and verbally) at board level 
  • Demonstrate strong business analysis abilities – able to interpret and analyse performance data and make insightful commercial commentary and recommendations to the business
  • Statutory account and tax return preparation (to submission to tax agent level) and coordination and preparation for an annual external audit 
  • GST & FBT return oversight and accountability

  • Displays professionalism, ethics and credibility
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence at senior levels across various functional units and external stakeholders. 
  • Well organised, efficient and effective
  • Decisive and able to operate within a fast-paced environment
