The Centre for Biostatistics and Clinical Trials (BaCT) is seeking a full time Database Design & Development Associate (2 year contract) to join the Data Management team.



The role is responsible for designing, developing and validating clinical trial Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems to collect clinical trial data in accordance with the trial protocol. The role works in collaboration with trial team members, includes investigators, statisticians, clinical trial project managers in the delivery of the trial.



Role Responsibilities:



  • Review unique CRF to ensure compliance with the protocol design and data standards

  • Design and develop clinical trial database in EDC systems following standard database development procedures and SOPs. The database creation includes; database and data entry screens set up, coding configuration, edit checks development, data export set up and all other related tasks.

  • Generate and maintain all required database development documentation including; database specifications and programmes, annotated Case Record Forms (CRFs), and all other database documents.

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the study database (including a review of database structure, data entry screens and data quality checks) to ensure that the data collection modules are designed and sequenced according to protocol and in compliance with the protocol.

  • Supports the study team in development of and reporting on study timelines.

  • Supports data management team in development and management of SOPs as applicable.
