About the role

We are seeking a Service Manager to provide holistic care, operational excellence and supervision to staff. You will manage the day-to-day clinical, hospitality, administration, maintenance and lifestyle operations of the site. Yes, it's a big job but we believe it will be equally as rewarding. You'll be well supported with a team of clinical carers who will benefit from your strong leadership and motivational style. Support will also come from working closely with the Regional Manager and regional support team in relation to quality and compliance management.

This role is based in picturesque Stanthorpe, in the Southern Downs Granite Belt Region, less than three hours' drive from the hustle and bustle of Brisbane. Stanthorpe is renowned for its vineyards, farmland and fruit orchards and is home to a range of boutique stores and galleries. Our Stanthorpe service has 102 beds and is one of two services in the Southern Downs Granite Belt Region. This position offers career opportunity with the easy lifestyle of a rural community. The area also boasts great schools, is family friendly, and is in easy distance of Warwick and historic Tenterfield.

About you

You are driven by challenges and looking for a role where your input will make a real and substantial difference to the lives of our residents. You will have ability to effectively implement changes at an organisational level, and to manage the human resource aspects of a remote service.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered Nurse or other clinical professional with current registration with AHPRA. OR;
  • Post graduate qualifications in health administration, business administration or equivalent.
  • Current experience leading and mentoring a clinical care workforce, in the aged care industry;
  • Knowledge of the accreditation system, as well as funding & regulatory requirements for aged care facilities;
  • A current driver's licence;
  • Ability to obtain a national police certificate;
  • Ability to acquire NDIS Screening;
  • Be able to undertake a personal insolvency check;
  • Be able to evidence Flu vaccine, as per the yearly mandatory requirements;

Please note, all employees working within our residential and community aged care will need to be immunised for Influenza from 01/05/2020. If you have already received your flu vaccination, we ask that you provide proof as part of the recruitment process.
