Junior Technical Associate


Overview: 

Energy Estate is an advisory firm and business accelerator focussed on the transformation of the energy sector. Our team brings together industry leaders from across the value chain, giving us an understanding of the energy sector that is uniquely collaborative, innovative and holistic. We help our clients to refine, optimise and fast-track every aspect of their energy projects: matching opportunities with capital, optimally structuring and completing transactions, providing strategic guidance, and avoiding potential pitfalls and inefficiencies. 


Energy Estate is involved with some of the most exciting projects in the Australian energy sector and we offer you the opportunity to play a part in transforming the sector to a cleaner, greener future. We work with a range of development and technology partners to accelerate projects of relevance to the energy transition. 


We are looking for a dynamic and curios technical expert to join our team in Adelaide. You will be working closely with our experienced team members in Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra to deliver on a broad range of advisory mandates and accelerating the development of renewable energy projects in Australia, the Pacific and globally.


Role: 

  • The role will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks and responsibilities: 
  • Assist on the development of renewable energy projects, including project-screening and feasibility studies (technical and commercial). 
  • Provide technical input into discussions and documentation 
  • Conduct research on companies, projects, markets and existing and emerging technologies. 
  • Ability to understand engineering and design and integration with other technical disciplines 
  • Supporting the wider advisory and project development team as needed on delivery of advisory and development projects. 


We would welcome applications from those demonstrating: 

  • Whilst 1 – 3 years experience is ideal, we welcome applications from those with less experience or experience in a different discipline, but from a similar role. 
  • Degree qualified ideally in Engineering ,Mathematics, Commerce or Science or other relevant qualifications 
  • A passion for working in the renewable energy industry and a desire to transform the energy sector. 
  • An enthusiastic approach to tackling new projects and challenges. 
  • Good research, analytical and writing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to multi-task, problem solve and quickly learn new concepts and processes. . 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to work well both within a team and with external parties. 
  • A desire to grow your career, learn new skills and contribute to the growth of Energy Estate. 
  • A willingness to be based in Adelaide with travel from time-to-time.
