The role

As a Despatch Manager at our Thebarton site, you will manage our customers' workload to ensure their requirements are met and their orders are delivered in full, on time, every time, across the Adelaide market.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be working as part of a friendly team who will help you learn about our products and systems.

If you have a passion for customer service and a talent for problem solving and prioritising workload, this is the opportunity for you!

We're looking for someone with lots of energy, who is skilled at juggling competing priorities and meeting deadlines while delivering great customer service.


  • Understanding customer priorities and service
  • Liaising with Sales, Operations and Logistics
  • Receiving phone orders and entering of orders
  • Oversight of the scheduling and allocating of daily deliveries and the truck fleet
  • Manage internal raw material requirements
  • Ensure all tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Some after hours on-call duties required

What You Will Need To Succeed
  • Sound knowledge of Adelaide Metropolitan and Regional areas
  • Be able to work within a busy team environment and thrive on working with people at all levels
  • Friendly, customer service-oriented disposition
  • Ability to communicate with managers and operatives at all levels
  • Be a proven team player across organisational lines
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Flexibility, with the capacity to attend to several issues at the same time
  • Experience working in the transport industry (preferred but not essential)
  • Knowledge of basic OH&S obligations and requirements (desirable, training will be provided)
  • An understanding of CoR requirements (desirable, training will be provided)
  • Experience working in the concrete, quarry or building industry (desirable)
