The role:

In this role you will lead the Communications Team in the delivery of strategic and project outcomes for Council and with the implementation of the Communication Strategy and Action Plan. You will build Council's brand, profile and relationships with the community and key stakeholders, including working closely with Council's Business Units to drive marketing plans and business plan objectives.

To be successful in this role you will need:
  • A degree in Communications or equivalent
  • Comprehensive experience in Public Relations/Communications, Marketing or Community Engagement
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practice including IAP2 engagement principles
  • The ability to manage effective campaigns using a range of print and social media, as appropriate for the target audience/s
  • The ability to effectively coordinate and supervise a team
  • Class C Driver's License
About you:

You will be well organised and have strong project management experience with the ability to establish and monitor marketing and communication goals. You will also be experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

We offer:
  • Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
  • Salary from $1564.16 to $1666.36 (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 9.5% superannuation
