About the Opportunity

Due to unprecedented growth, we are currently seeking a part-time experienced Bookkeeper to join our friendly, professional team at our Head Office in Canning Vale, Perth.

About You

To be successful you will be passionate about our values; be professional and friendly, and self-motivated. You will be experienced in book-keeping, be highly organised and able to multi-task, with outstanding communication skills and customer service.

Your Role

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly control account reconciliations (including but not limited to; several bank accounts, credit card statements, payroll and related reconciliations and petty cash)
  • Raise monthly rental and other general sale invoicing ensuring correct GL coding
  • Prepare, review and submit all ATO and regulatory lodgements including but not limited to payroll tax, PAYG, BAS and FBT and other statutory submissions
  • Prepare and process fortnightly payroll on HR 3 for 100 + members, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory authorities
  • Ensure FBT compliance and management of the assets register
  • Key interface with our bankers and auditors on operational matters
  • Management and lodgement of insurance claims
  • Continuous review / improvement of finance processes, controls
  • Supplier Payments

Essential Criteria

  • Experienced book-keeper with a solid knowledge of MYOB (preferably) or a similar accounting package competent with Balance Sheet control account reconciliations
  • 5 plus years’ relevant experience gained with a manufactureror construction business, with annual revenues in excess of $35m
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced function with a demonstrated track record to organise, prioritise and meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate, liaise and build trust with people at all levels, internally and externally
  • Energetic and driven leader, passionate about continuous improvement and a proven track record of delivering ‘right first time’
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a payroll software package (preferably HR3)
  • Highly computer literate and intermediate to advanced competency in Excel
