What you'll be doing

The Voice Service Delivery Manager is responsible for the management of activities to deliver the District’s Voice Services Strategy. This includes ensuring that fixed and mobile telephony services for the organisation are delivered, functioning, and fit-for-purpose.

This position is also involved in the management of second and third level support and escalation for Voice Services, including carrier services, PABX systems, and the mobile phone fleet.

This is a temporary full time position until 31st March 2023 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.

Selection Criteria * Demonstrated experience in management of a complex telecommunications environment, including PABXs, key systems and a fleet of mobile services.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry-standard data network technology in relation to telephony solutions support (ie, IP telephony solutions delivered over data links), including security and protocol implications and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in carrier services management including management of orders, faults, contracts and billing to provide maximum service availability and effective financial management.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate and build relationships with Executives, Health Professionals, IT services, vendors and carriers.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and prepare professional correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement voice system projects within scope and on-budget.
  • High level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Applications - in particular, excel skills and experience in using formulae for analysis and reporting - electronic record management systems such as TRIM and Oracle or similar financial system.
  • Current class C driver’s licence and willingness to travel within and outside the District.
