About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Advisor – Asset Investigation and Monitoring to coordinate and manage programs of asset / system performance monitoring, investigations and investments, to deliver on the requirements across the relevant asset portfolio. This fixed term role until 2nd December 2022 is based in our Geraldton office and will report to the Team Leader Asset Investigations & Monitoring.

What The Role Will Involve

  • Coordinate and deliver asset and system monitoring programs to support demand, capacity, utilisation and condition / energy efficiency assessment
  • Provide reports on assessment program budgets to deliver programs efficiently
  • Conduct quality control audits of service providers products and services
  • Support Asset Strategy Branch by providing information and reporting requirements to meet the business needs
  • Lead system investigations to determine root cause of systemic issues and provide input to planning solutions
  • Support data improvement initiatives through monitoring and reporting and root cause analysis of issues
  • Compile and publish asset and system performance/risk reporting within the strategic reporting framework for the relevant asset portfolio to meet branch and group requirements

Key Skills & Experience
  • Degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline
  • Substantial experience in managing programs, budgets, contracts and contractors effectively
  • Considerable and proven operational experience in effective engineering problem solving and issue resolution
  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of work practices and systems relevant to asset/ system inspection, monitoring, and investigations
  • Considerable experience in planning and progressing work activities within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement to deliver outcomes
  • Relevant operational experience with Water Industry assets and systems desirable
