About The Role

This is a unique and critical leadership role, pivotal in setting clear vision and direction to a dynamic and cohesive team of Project Supervisors responsible for supporting the safe execution of operational projects to plan and budget across the Engineering Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) Portfolio.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Projects and Modifications you will have accountability across the following:

  • Foster an inclusive and diverse culture, providing strong leadership that promotes accountability, positive engagement and initiatives taking
  • Coach and lead a team of project supervisors, ensuring hazards are identified, the work is executed safely and to standard
  • Work collaboratively with project engineers and other leads to ensure safe delivery against performance targets
  • Reviewing and forecasting execution works and managing resources to ensure adequate supervision support is on site
  • Ensure team accountability across contractor adherance to the safety processes and quality in construction work
  • Provide expertise and leadership to ensure construction risk and opportunities are identified and incorporated in to plans
  • Ensure the Company’s obligations are met in providing access to the site and other equipment as defined under the contract
  • Identifies and selects the best approach for the development and execution of projects
  • Ensure execution work adheres to stakeholder plans and schedules to time, cost and resource allocation for more complex projects with multiple resources
  • Manage routine to monitor and identify project change, schedule and cost deviations and adapts the plan to continually maximise the value add of the project
  • Creates appropriate stakeholder reviews throughout the project lifecycle
  • Builds relationships with internal stakeholders that are critical in the performing of their role
  • Provides support and leadership to the team to understand the upstream and downstream impact of decisions
  • Ensures goods and services are procured at the negotiated rates, terms and conditions
  • Demonstrate awareness of key performance measures for a contract – applies routines to manage performance variance effectively.
  • Builds a risk aware culture across the team where risk is positively and proactively discussed.

You will be based in in the Pilbara, Western Australia, on an 5/2;4/3 FIFO roster. Due to the location and geographic spread of the NPI portfolio, regular travel between Port, Central, Eastern and Perth is required.

The successful applicant will show strong experience in leadership and have a high level of influencing, interpersonal and stakeholder management experience to effectively navigate the team through the project lifecycle effectively. A technical aptitude lends well to this role and whilst not mandatory a relevant engineering or construction qualification will be viewed favourably and sound experience overseeing a team responsible for the contractor workforce. Experience across High voltage and /or utilities and camps/housing will be advantageous.
