Job Description

Aspen Medical is seeking a BID Manager to make a positive contribution to our growing Business Development (BD) Department. As BID Manager you will be essential to the overall success of Aspen Medical's tender bids.

The Responsibilities Of This Role Include

  • reviewing all tenders within 48 hours of receipt and making your recommendation of the bid ie bid/no-bid
  • writing innovative and competitive proposals and tender responses
  • recommending and providing advice on the most appropriate clinical craft groups and skill mixes required for specific customer projects
  • attending meetings with clients and prospective customers to develop clinical service delivery models
  • arranging internal team tender planning sessions, workshop models of care and agreeing on best solutions for clients
  • developing risk and implementation plans for clients based on clinical and operational risks
  • developing innovative solutions tailored to the client’s requirements
  • working with Operations staff to ensure proposals and bid responses are workable and achievable
  • working with the Culture and Performance, Finance and Clinical departments to ensure competitive and profitable proposals are submitted.

Experience, Qualifications And Documentation Required
  • previous experience developing and writing tenders, proposals and/or grant applications
  • knowledge of the healthcare industry is desired
  • the capacity to establish and develop effective relationships with customers through the determination of needs, management of processes and delivery standards to develop bids and proposals
  • demonstrated a high level of personal integrity and ethics of management practice
  • strong communication, consultative, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
  • high-level analytical skills, including the ability to analyse the client’s business and clinical requirements
  • the ability to identify and articulate innovative project initiatives
  • the ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with other departments within Aspen Medical
  • highly experienced in using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint
