JOB DESCRIPTION

Chandler Macleod is working with a prominent organisation who currently have an exciting employment opportunity for a qualified Return to Work Coordinator for a 3 + month position.

Reporting to the District Manager Health Safety and Wellbeing you will Liaise with Key stakeholders i.e., injured workers, nominated treating doctors, management, insurers and health care professionals to ensure evidence for best practice with all matters and proactively develop, assess and coordinate return to work plans for both work and non-work related injuries and illness.

In order to be considered your will possess the following skills and experience:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience or a combination of work and study in a medical or injury management related field with WorkCover accreditation as a Return to Work Coordinator
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Workplace Rehabilitation, Injury Management, Return to Work Programs & Occupational Health and Safety within the workplace
  • Ability to negotiate and liaise with workers, supervisors, Health professionals, Rehabilitation Providers, Management, Insurers and Employee Representatives to plan, monitor and evaluate the rehabilitation process and results for workplace injuries and non-work-related injury or illness
  • Ability to interpret relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice, and policies in relation to Injury Management, Workers Compensation, Return to Work and Manual Handling and recommend and implement changes as necessary
  • Excellent organisational, planning, administrative and reporting skills with literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and databases
  • Ability to conduct interviews and investigations with satisfactory outcomes for management and staff demonstrating negotiation, conflict resolution and problems solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, prioritising a busy workload to meet deadlines, legislative requirements and service level agreements
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
