Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick are keen to recruit a Clinical Psychologist in a permanent part-time position, equivalent to 34 hours per week, to work within the multi-disciplinary Rehab2Kids team. The Clinical Psychologist in this role provides assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and young people with a history of acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, neurological conditions and spinal cord injury, referred for behavioural, emotional and social problems and adjustment difficulties. Within the multidisciplinary team context, the Clinical Psychologist provides expertise regarding psychological issues and assists with the planning of interventions. The Clinical Psychologist is a member of the Psychology Department and as such will participate in peer supervision and be required to perform administrative and professional duties.

Full Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Full endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in the area of Clinical Psychology or eligible to progress to same with the Psychology Board of Australia.

2.Minimum two-year full-time equivalent accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology

Experience in paediatric psychological assessment and therapy

Experience working in a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated professional communication and interpersonal skills

Understanding of emotional, social and behavioural issues and comorbidities that can arise for children with a disability and/or history of brain injury
