The Workforce Transactional Services team delivers a range of services to our stakeholders including support for complex 24/7 rostering, payroll processing and other transactional services. We are now looking for a Part-time (19hpw) Payroll and Rostering Officer with relevant experience who is passionate about transforming employee experience and is willing to provide support to all aspects of workforce transactional services as required.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Previous experience working with large, complex payroll systems

  • The ability to learn new complex systems

  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a demanding customer service environment

  • Ability to interpret, apply and provide advice on relevant policies, procedures and awards

  • Experience working with complex 24/7 electronic rostering systems

  • Fast and accurate data entry skills and attention to detail

  • High level of communication and customer service skills

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Demonstrated experience working in Payroll/ HR transactional/ Rostering environment within a large, complex organisation.
  2. Strong customer service skills with a focused and responsive approach to managing enquiries whilst maintaining confidentiality.
  3. Proven ability to make assessments and use own judgement to facilitate problem solving.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently, show Initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team
  5. High accuracy skills and attention to detail
  6. Ability to investigate and interpret legislation, regulations, instructions, awards or procedural guidelines relevant to employment conditions, entitlements and pay.
  7. Ability to carry out a variety of functions which may be complex in nature and use judgment to modify requirements according to different situations.
  8. Demonstrated high level computer and system skills with experience using HRIS, rostering and customer service data systems.
