Your new role

Expand and build on your Analytical skills, take the next step up. The Procurement Analyst provides analytical expertise to the Procurement operation. Your role primarily researches, creates cost modelling and provides analytical support services, to inform procurement and category management leading to decision-making and strategy.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Assist with procurement and category management strategies, by providing assistance across; Procurement Analysis, Procurement Risk Management, Cost management and Quality assurance
  • Populate and maintain complex databases and apply analytical tools, techniques and systems to analyse and interpret a wide range of supplier and organisational information and options to support procurement planning and decision making
  • Apply strategic tools such as Supply Positioning, market segmentation analysis, PESTLE and Porters Five Forces to analyse supply markets
  • Undertake research, cost modelling and analysis of supply markets to identify opportunities and inform sourcing strategies
  • Develop and provide reports to support effective management of supplier performance and to track and report on benefits delivered
  • Apply risk management and compliance checks when researching and analysing supply markets and contract performance to identify potential risks and trigger risk mitigation and management responses

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in directly developing and managing procurement processes
  • Engagement in effective, high level liaison and co-ordination with both external and internal stakeholders Experience in contracts management and contracts administration management
  • Proven strong negotiation skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, laterally and strategically
  • Advanced skills in MS Programs (Word, Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing industry highly regarded
