JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: Mercy Mental Health's Perinatal Mental Health Service located at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team, PT15.2hrs/week, Fixed Term 9months (maternity leave cover)

  • You will work in our outpatient team at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg
  • You will provide quality-focussed outpatient assessment and treatment to women referred to our perinatal mental health service on a short term basis using a holistic approach and in keeping with prescribed professional and ethical standards
  • You will work in the multidisciplinary antenatal clinic team for women living with addictions, providing assesment and psychological treatment and or secondary consultation as recquired 
  • You will be a flexible, highly motivated, compassionate individual
  • You will hold full registration with AHPRA with a Masters/Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and endorsement as Clinical (The required qalification for the position can be found on first page of PD)
  • You will have the understanding of psychological interventions particularly applicable in the perinatal context
  • You would be committed to excellent communication and team work
  • Prior experience in perinatal mental health is an advantage

Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
