SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced PACU nurse with ANUM experience to join our Perioperative team at WMH. The successful applicant will work predominantly in PACU to provide clinical support and leadership to new and exisiting staff rotating to PACU. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing PACU specific procedures and overseeing clinical practices inline with ACORN standards. They will participate in quality initiatives in line with National Standards and local QI plans; including but not limited to designing and implementing new charts, undertaking clinical audits and overseeing infection control standards in PACU. The applicant may, on occassions, support the department floor management if required.

  • Permanant full time: Prodominately Monday to Friday, occassional weekend work with on-call support if required.
  • Morning and afternoon shifts (nightduty may be considered only if the successful applicant also able to work within anaesthetics - not a requirement)


  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Post-Graduate certificate or higher within Perioperative &/or Aanesthetics / PACU nursing (or equivalent)
  • Current PACU experience is essential
  • ANUM experience is highly desirable
  • An understanding of National Standards and Accreditation is essential
