Use your exceptional customer service skills to ensure that all people who are accessing our services are welcomed and provided with the BEST possible assistance.

The Role:

As the Customer Service Officer you will be the concierge of all BEST services. This will require an ability to listen effectively, pass along accurate information and providing appropriate levels of assistance to job seekers/participants utilising self-help or Access Centre facilities.

To be successful in this position you will need to have a demonstrated understanding and appreciation of cultural differences and diversity in the workplace, be passionate about your community, have excellent people skills, a positive attitude and a drive to provide exceptional service at all times.

This position will be based at our Toowoomba office.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming all visitors to the Site discreetly, efficiently and enthusiastically as first and last point of contact. This will also involve directing visitors to the appropriate service within the site.
  • Providing varied administrative support to site staff to ensure the smooth running of the site e.g. financial reconciliations of purchase orders and invoices, conducting client contact calls, stationery ordering, setting up of diary appointment schedules, delivering mail to the post office and other out of office activities such as local purchases for the centre etc.
  • Providing quality assistance to our clients e.g. using ‘self help jobsearch support’ facilities; completing application forms; preparation resumes; letters of application and selection criteria.
  • Providing efficient reception duties including bright and professional greetings, timely answering and forwarding of phone calls and responding appropriately to high volumes of calls.
  • Maintaining the Reception and Access Centre area ensuring a clean, professional and welcoming environment.
