Are you an experienced nurse with an interest in medical sub-acute care, geriatrics and/or palliative care?

The Medical Ward at Mersey Community Hospital is a 30 bed facility.

The Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe has 95 beds and offers general and specialist health services including rehabilitation and oncology services. Both hospitals have close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensive clinical training programs.

This role is based in Latrobe, TAS that is part of the fast growing Latrobe/Port Sorell Municipal area. The town has all the modern amenities you would expect in a regional town. Our dual carriage way, the Bass Highway connects Latrobe to the bustling cities of Devonport and Burnie (10 and/or 40 minutes away) which offer extensive services not provided locally. Very affordable lifestyle with fantastic properties in idyllic locations at a fraction of the cost compared to Australia’s capital cities. You are close to everything and traffic jam is not a common term in Tasmania, so you have a better work life balance. Living in Tasmania offers you access to prime organic produce, true farmers' markets, a multitude of food festivals and so much more.
