JOB DESCRIPTION

An Australian success story with true entrepreneurial spirit, Banjo is a dynamic online lender providing loans to small and medium sized Australian businesses.

Reflective of the small business owners they represent is a belief that at the heart of every great business is passion, self-belief, and a vision of how to do things better. Banjo knows the needs of a small business can change from one day to the next. The team understands that innovative businesses move faster. That is why they offer a streamlined process that is just what small businesses need, and back it up with brilliant business loans.

They are committed to making a difference for businesses to help make them grow.

The job

We are currently looking for a driven Senior Salesforce Developer to take responsibility for the development and support of the Salesforce Platform, Projects, and Integrations.

As the lead Salesforce developer, you will work in a small, Agile team in close collaboration with other Developers and other teams within the business.

  • You will lead the design and development of key business deliverables.
  • You will be primarily focused on back-end, applying enterprise patterns, and taking ownership of all Integrations and Architecture.
  • You will help your team members hone their skills, bringing in new or improved ideas, techniques, and practices of Salesforce.

Ultimately, this is a role for someone who loves the technology development and design aspects of Salesforce and is looking to be part of a delivery team, working in an environment that lets you shine.

The team

Is small and they work in Richmond. The location is great – there is a nice start-up feel, the coffee and food are excellent, and it is close to everything.

They care deeply about the quality, reliability, and security of their code.

They believe in in Developer enablement and accountability - if you built it, you have also tested it and are happy responding to any customer issues with it.

If this is the sort of stuff that excites you, then this could be your dream job.

  • You are a talented Salesforce Developer, with the confidence that comes from having solved complex problems and leading them through to positive solutions.
  • You do quality work, and you feel a sense of ownership over what you and your team create.
  • You are focused on delivering value quickly and iteratively, using Agile processes like Scrum or Kanban and technical practices such as TDD or BDD.
  • You collaborate effectively with Team Managers and experts, working with them to understand requirements and business goals.
  • You are more than just a Developer. You can contribute to many areas, such as design and architecture, UX, build and deployment, effective testing practices, and performance optimisation.
  • You have a strong track record of designing and developing clean, maintainable Salesforce software that stands up to real-world users and production conditions.
  • You have experience training and mentoring Junior Developers and System Administrators on effective development practices and techniques.
  • You're excited about Salesforce development, and motivated to continue refining your skills.

Your experience

  • 4 years’ experience in full Salesforce product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical analysis and solution design and implementation.
  • Senior capability around Apex, Triggers and salesforce design patterns.
  • Enterprise pattern knowledge will be highly valued.
  • Experience in Sales Cloud and senior experience in software design patterns and development methodologies.
  • Visualforce and LWC development as well as Lightning.
  • CI/CD, Git and Agile development experience
  • Experienced in implementation of REST integrations and usage of rest clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and must feel comfortable participating and leading project meetings, providing advice on technical design and to provide ongoing support.
  • Experience in Financial Services would be a big plus
  • BSc in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or relevant field ideally
  • An interest/experience in other types of technology used at Banjo like Azure and .NET would be a bonus.
