The Role
In this full-time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for assisting the Nurse Unit Manger with the clinical management and leadership of a 37-bed acute orthopaedic unit and care for patients who have undergone surgery (including complex knee, hip and spinal surgery and joint replacements), sustained injuries from accidents or sport, as well as patients who have bone fractures, degenerative diseases or other conditions that affect the bones and muscles.

Epworth Richmond has 32 theatres and an Emergency Department and our patients have access to advanced technology such as robotic knee replacement and world first 3D prosthetic printing.

To be successful in this role…
You will either be in an ANUM role or looking to step into an ANUM role. You are a strong communicator with a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with your team, medical staff, patients and their families. You are keen to learn how to build and lead a committed and engaged team.

You will have

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA Nursing registration
  • Previous experience working in Orthopaedics
  • Contemporary knowledge of the assessment and management of health concerns of patients with complex needs
  • Post graduate qualification in Orthopaedics would be advantageous
