Administrative Assistant
An opportunity to provide vital administrative support to the Manager of this Cairns Caravan Park, located only 10mins from the CBD.
The Client
Within 10 minutes of the CBD this Cairns Caravan park provides a variety of long term, semi-permanent and short-stay lettings of houses, flats, van sites and camping sites.
The Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant supports the Manager in the routine administration of the Park, i.e. the letting and management of accommodation units and caravan sites as well as deputising for the Manager when necessary. The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing friendly and efficient reception service.
  • Knowledgeable of park facilities, cabin types, rentals and other charges, bonds and Tenancy Agreements or ability to learn.
  • Liaison with park cleaners, maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • The ability to learn the parks accounting and administration systems.
  • Proactively communicate with the park's manager to ensure occupancy is maintained along with customer satisfaction.
  • The flexibility to provide full time cover while the Manager is on leave.
  • Salary guide of $42,000.00 plus super.
  • Supporting the management of a Residential Park that hosts Cabins and Vans
  • Rental/property management admin role in central Cairns location.
  • 100+ medium and long term tenancies.
  • Culturally diverse community.
  • Permanent position, available now.
  • Proficiencies required in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in RMS booking system highly desirable but not essential.
  • Maturity and experience to act as Relief Manager.

This is a vital support position requiring an adaptable organised person with exceptional attention to detail and well-developed communication skills. This role requires an individual that likes to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the business.
In addition you will be;

  • Be punctual and organise time and work efficiently, unsupervised.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with people from a variety of social backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the company and the job.
  • Accurately utilise the accounting and administration systems and processes established for the Park's operations.


Essential to this position is an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Indigenous people.
