The Role

The Planning & Performance team is the numbers team! This team facilitates the budgeting and forecasting processes for the asset which enables regular monitoring of the asset’s performance to generate cashflow, improve value and achieve the Asset’s objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this team in a 12-month Limited-term contract role as the Asset Cost Controller. Your primary accountability will be to support the RAD, Land Access and Planning & Performance Teams to provide Cost Control and reporting, in systems such as Prism G2, Clarity, Oracle Financial System, in order to provide timely information for decision making.

Responsibilities Will Include
  • Cost control of all Pre-AFF Well and Project capex, and for asset specific capex (such as Land Access expenditure, Asset Owner’s costs)
  • Work closely with the CTO RAD team, CTO Land Access team and Project Managers to understand CTO’s capex program and monitor performance compared to budget
  • Update and maintain Prism G2 and the information stored within for accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide cost variance analysis and commentary on the asset’s capital expenditure and Restoration costs
  • Prepare reporting for monthly Cascaded Business Reviews
  • Develop quarterly forecast updates and annual budget builds
  • Support Project Change Management requirements in Prism G2 & DCN
  • Develop and submit monthly accruals

Is This You?

To succeed in this role you’ll be self-motivated, passionate and proactive with a high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external parties as required. You will have strong problem solving and time management skills with the ability to manage numerous tasks at any one time in a demanding environment.

You Will Have
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of cost control tools, including spreadsheets; Microsoft Office, PRISM G2 and other relevant software programs.
  • Some experience in financial system tools such as Oracle or SAP
  • Demonstrated technical competence in the area of cost tracking and reporting
  • The ability to interpret cost and schedule data for forecasting purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver good quality work with high levels of accuracy
  • A preparedness to learn and adopt new work practices, systems and procedures
  • Ability to work in a diverse cultural team environment; be able to work unsupervised; accept responsibility and act on directives
