JOB DESCRIPTION

Member-focused financial services organisation whose core purpose is to enable it’s members to achieve financial success requires senior Android developer to join their already successful tech teams.

Working in the Customer Hub, the Senior Android Engineer will be responsible for ensuring fit for purpose mobile application solutions are built for use across the organisation, that utilise best practice standards to ensure smooth integration between internal and external systems.

What You Will Do
  • Design, build and deploy new mobile apps used by customers
  • Working in an agile environment delivering at a fast pace
  • Collaborate within a team to deliver high-quality squeaky-clean work
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, through activities like Hack Days, guild/practice meet ups and brown bag sessions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, perform peer code reviews and contribute to the definition of the coding standards and best practices
  • Work with solution architects, project managers, vendors and contractors to design, build and deploy
  • Clear career path with a great opportunity to grow from a Senior Developer to a Tech Lead role quickly


What You Will Have Done
  • Minimum 5 years using Android using Kotlin and Java. A familiarity with standard IT security practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, iOS knowledge and Agile practices looked at favourably.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and work well within a team and key stakeholders.
