The Opportunity

If you have a flair for New Business Development, then this role could be the one for you. In this position you would be a member of the team responsible for new corporate client acquisition within NSW, you will be at the fore front of creating and managing the new business pipeline for the division. You will be reporting to the National Sales Director, and working alongside the State Director, the client management leadership team and the national sales team.

You will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining a sales pipeline, and looking strategically at opportunities for the cross-sell of products, services and risk solutions to both existing and potential clients
Engaging with potential clients through networking, referrals, pro-active marketing, presentations, cold-calling and any other methods
Ensuring total state new business budgets/performance benchmarks are achieved for the Global & Corporate team including:
Project Management of opportunities
Prospect engagement/acquisition strategy
Assist Bid Management team on tender responses
Pitch to win in consultation with State Directors

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have a proven experience and success in business development or sales management, focused specifically engaging with C-Suite executives at corporate businesses. Ideally you will have gained this experience from a professional or financial services firm.

You will be a creative and solutions focused thinker, with a passion to take ownership and be proactive in client generation.

We will be looking for:

Strong negotiation and relationship building skills with exceptional communication abilities
A high degree of resilience and an outcome focused approach
Someone highly self-motivated with an ability to ‘think outside of the box’
Proven experience presenting and influencing to a broad audience
A high-level knowledge or experience of insurance would be expected
