JD Eleven Construction is a highly experienced manufacturer and installer of a wide range of aluminium windows and doors.

With over 15 years of manufacturing and installation experience, we have an impressive portfolio of completed works for builders and clients within the commercial and residential building sectors. We now seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive / Business Development Executive to assist the business to achieve its aggressive growth objectives. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the business owner to achieve agreed sales and gross margin targets within defined market sectors.

The responsibilities of the role will be to manage and oversee whole projects including quoting, planning, procuring materials, sourcing and scheduling installation labour, ensuring adherence to Australian Standards and legislated requirements, and that each project is completed within the expected time frame and budget.

As such, the successful candidate should possess the following duties: 

  • Preparing quotes from enquirers, preparing quotes on V6 software and negotiating contracts for accepted quotes;
  • Liaising with the clients and in-house estimators to interpret drawings, specifications, and maintain compliance with Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia;
  • Preparing and submitting shop drawings for approvals;
  • Liaising with builders, designers, engineers, suppliers, installers and negotiating and arranging for all required purchases and contracts to be lawfully in place prior to commencement of works;
  • Preparing and creating work programmes, SWMS, safety inductions for each site;
  • Coordinating with the administration on material orders and ensure timely delivery for fabrication and installation while maintaining a tight budget;
  • Implementing work programmes for both the in-house fabrication and onsite installation and making any required adjustments for unexpected events during the project;
  • Canvassing inquiries of clients on a day to day basis, and keeping them informed of the works progress and any budgetary or time frame issues;
  • Arranging for or attending site visits to ensure the works are meeting required standards at every stage and overseeing each project to ensure they are progressing on time and within budget;
  • Attending sites when necessary for site meetings, inspections etc. 

Qualifications and skills required: 

  • Familiar with the operation and building of windows and doors on software such as Logical Orgadata orV6 software.
  • Familiarity with Alspec products.
  • Proficient in estimating V6 Software.
  • Working closely with clients, installation teams, and trade contractors, to meet installation schedules.
  • Managing commercial and residential client projects from end to end.
  • Familiarity with pricing and take-offs architectural building plans and documents
  • Ability to create and prepare shop drawings.
  • Familiar with Procore project management software.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Multi-tasking with good communication and negotiation skills,
  • Good calculation and measurement skills.
  • Can provide a track record of successful small, medium and large projects you have personally managed and completed.
  • Ability to read and understand complex architectural building plans.
  • Knowledge of how to assess and understand energy performance, wind loads and acoustic requirements for specific projects.
  • Knowledge of current glass and glazing Australian Standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to process material orders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in regards to measuring, shop drawing approvals and installation schedule with clients, foreman and project managers.
  • Ability to track project performance including costing and scheduling.
  • Ability to assemble accurate and clear paperwork for the manufacturing and installation team members.
  • Ability to manage and communicate clearly with the installation teams.
  • A positive and energetic attitude to work.
  • Be able to work unsupervised and to the agreed goals.
  • Be willing to work overtime when required.
  • A great communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Motivated, organised and professional.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and within given timeframes.
  • A willingness to progress to the Project Management position. 
  • At least 5 years experience in commercial construction project management.
