Senior People Partner (12 month fixed term)

Within our People & Culture division sit our Business Delivery team who partner with the business to deliver our strategic people and culture initiatives focused on driving capability, productivity, and performance. As trusted advisors Business Delivery are the voice of the customer, informing and guiding our overall People & Culture program of work, supporting the Group’s strategy.

We currently have a fixed term opportunity for a Senior People Partner to work on organisation design initiatives that will integrate and align to our enterprise wide people strategy.

You will partner with Executives and senior leaders playing an integral role in leading and managing consistent implementation of key initiatives. Ensuring you take your stakeholders with you on the journey by delivering structured implementation plans, tracking and measuring against defined targets and ensuring the application of organisation design principles.

As a highly experienced HR professional you’ll bring a wealth of experience, value, and depth of technical knowledge. Being able to quickly build trust and credibility in a fast-paced environment, and not afraid to challenge the status quo or have difficult conversations. You’ll be used to large complex organisations that work at pace, at times with ambiguity to deliver innovative and agile People & Culture strategies.

The role can be based remotely with employees working from home with all required equipment provided, so we’re able to consider any location within Australia.

As the Senior People Partner, broadly the role will:

  • Strategically partner with Executives and Senior Leaders to scope and implement key initiatives
  • Constructively challenge leaders to achieve optimum commercial outcomes
  • Build trusted and respectful relationships with leaders to deepen understanding of their business strategy
  • Enable the development of plans that deliver workforce effectiveness, optimal organisation design and future capability and resource needs
  • Collaborate with members of the Change and Workforce Partnering teams to ensure alignment
  • Contribute to the desired organisational culture and values, to implement the frameworks of performance and accountability, and culture

To be successful in the role, you'll have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or related disciple
  • Demonstrated high performance and experience in a similar role as a Senior Business Partner in a large complex organisation. Banking, Retail, FMCG industry experience highly desirable
  • Strong technical HR capability with experience in strategic HR practices and application of principles, policies and processes
  • Proven capability leading and influencing at a strategic level, able to quickly build and maintain effective relationships
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing leaders
  • The ability to confidently manage multiple competing projects and priorities
  • Solid commercial acumen to articulate the link between people strategy and business strategy
