About the role

We’re a business with big ideas, and our Transformation team helps bring these to life. As part of our Group Transformation function you will play a key role in contributing to our “Smarter Selling” program initiatives in line with Coles strategic objectives. You will partner and consult with internal functions across the group as well as collaborate with external experts to bring new thinking to Coles on current strategic opportunities.

Working closely with General Managers and Chief of functions across the business, this is a highly visible role within the business. A great opportunity if you’re looking for a dynamic role where you can make tangible impact to the business through supporting strategic transformation projects.

Whilst there is a focus on the smarter selling program, this role will also provide broader support to other transformation projects across the business.

What you’ll be doing

Partnering and consulting with internal functions across Coles, you’ll support major Group Transformation deep dive reviews to identify “Smarter Selling” transformation opportunities in each business and cross functionally.

You’ll also:

  • Conduct high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve complex, strategic problems across the business
  • Own the Smarter Selling model and the monthly Smarter Selling reporting pack to the ELT
  • Work along-aside Transformation leaders to understanding issues to target and provide exception reporting to Executive
  • Work with Transformation leaders to deliver the Smarter Selling budget
  • Preparing “Smarter Selling” transformation monthly program governance reports including Board updates, Executive Leadership Team presentations, Steering Committee reports and detailed roadmap and KPI progress updates
  • Collaborate with external experts (consultants, industry specialists and academics) to bring new thinking to Coles on current strategic and “Smarter Selling” opportunities
  • Support the development and execution of project plans to deliver against the strategic priorities of the business

Good things you’ll need

We’re after a commercial professional, ideally with strong consulting experience within a professional services environment. You’re motivated, keen to make an impact and drive results for the business.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience working with or in large, complex, fast moving commercial businesses
  • Strong financial evaluation and modelling skills
  • Relationship building skills to effectively work internally and externally at all levels including senior leadership
  • Experience in project delivery and multi-vendor collaboration
  • Proven experience writing or contributing to board level presentations and reports
  • Ability to communicate persuasively to achieve “win-win” outcomes #LI-PC
