Footscray's oldest and busiest hospitality venue is looking for an experienced Section Waiter and Duty Manager to join our fast paced team, serving high-end gastropub food.

The ideal candidates should have at least 1 years' experience with section waiting, be able to work independently and they will have to work a flexible week, including nights and weekends.
The successful Section Waiter candidate will be responsible for the following: 

Taking care of large sections
Sequence of service
Running food & drinks
Working function service when needed

In addition to the above, a Duty Manager would be responsible for:

Cash up
Pack down + set up of restaurant + function space
Managing a shift
Running service

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: 

A passion for the hospitality industry
Clear and concise communication
Be hands on
Take initiative
Be customer focused and have excellent customer service skills
Proven food and beverage knowledge
The willingness to learn and adapt at a moment’s notice
A current RSA

Ideal but not necessary:

Competent using RIVA pos system

It is a casual role to start, offering minimum 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to go part-time for the right candidate. Please note the work is mainly nights (latest finish around Midnight) and weekends. Pay is negotiable for the right person.
