JOB DESCRIPTION

Business Analyst

* $101,120 - $122,348 (Plus Superannuation)
* Fixed term to January 2022
* Full time (flexibility may be available)
* Melbourne working remotely in line with Covid Safe plans (flexibility available)

The Business Analyst sits within the Program Centre's Digital Transformation team working collaboratively with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, rules and process flow for new systems design and within an agile methodology to ensure efficient and effective execution of grants business processes, best user experience and continuous innovation
Key Accountabilities:

* Actively contribute to system design, integration and delivery of grant programs and digital transformation initiatives across the program and grant lifecycles for grant platforms and systems (GEMS/Salesforce and Grant Portal).
* Gather and document functional/technical and non-functional complex business requirements, exceptions, business rules and process flow within an agile methodology. Support complex business process and system design, and integration of initiatives for efficient and effective execution of grants business processes.
* Design and manage sessions with subject matter experts, product owners and end users, including policy and technical specialists, to analyse processes at a system level, identify pain points and new systems for enhancing business processes and user experience and support the implementation of grant system functions.
* Work closely with product owners, portfolios and other key stakeholders to break down larger features into detailed user stories, build narratives and acceptance criteria and strategically connect them to digital transformation initiatives. This includes production of artefacts to support agile software development across the full SDLC cycle.

To be successful in this role you will need excellent strategic thinking ability and analytical skills, strong writing and communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills along with a good understanding of digital transformation projects.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
