About the branch
The Marketing, Communications and Partnerships Division oversees all marketing, tourism, visitor experience, partnership experience, digital, media, communications and public relations activities to support Parks Victoria.
The focus of the Communications and Public Affairs team is to establish and represent Parks Victoria's brand and public reputation, through effective engagement as well as public, community, partnership, corporate communications, media relations, and reputational management.
About the role and your responsibilities
As the Project Communications Advisor Camping & Accommodation, your primary focus is to support key projects, initiatives and programs with strategic communications to protect the reputation of Parks Victoria and ensure that high quality public information is available to the community and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for finding creative and engaging ways to profile the work, while ensuring that potential issues and risks are prepared for and mitigated to ensure the seamless delivery of the projects.
The position is focused on developing communications plans, strategies and collateral to profile the work through the media, Parks Victoria's communications channels, government department channels, events and opportunities for Minister's offices. You will be accountable for ensuring media, communications and project deadlines are met and tracked in regular corporate reporting. You will also operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for communications activities within their delegation.
We are looking for an individual with the following qualities:

* A qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Media or Marketing or similar.
* Experience working in communications. Working within a government environment across infrastructure works, asset renewal and program delivery would be an advantage.
* Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to interact confidently and sensitively with people at all levels, elicit cooperation through negotiation and persuasion, and work self- sufficiently or as part of a team.
