To meet Modis' continuously growing pipeline of work, we are looking for an Account Director to support and drive our expanding business. The Account Director leads the client relationships and the successful delivery of all Modis IT and Business professional services for assigned accounts.

They have expert relationship, people leadership and strong sales skills. They may have significant industry knowledge to address their clients' needs in a more meaningful way. The AD provides leadership, vision and strategic direction to consultants and ensures that all Modis's business goals relating to our customers, people, finance and operations are achieved. The AD establishes trusted and influential client relationships at all levels within target customer accounts with focus in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities


  • Is accountable for all sales activities for the assigned clients that expand existing business, leveraging the sales function on an as required basis
  • Leads negotiations effectively with clients on projects/ opportunities to extend existing business
  • Provides a platform to proactively engage the national sales team for the joint closure of opportunities that bring Modis capability to the assigned client base, that was not previously visible in the assigned client base
  • Ensures client focused account plans are in place to leverage and/or build on the full-service offerings and capabilities, including solutions that a client may not be currently consuming.
  • Builds trusted partner status, customer loyalty and brand position through changing the customer's experience.
  • Brings insights to the client on a regular basis, leveraging both industry and technology trends as well as Modis insights relevant to the client's organisational goals
  • Ensures effective relationships are in place at all levels within accounts, including executive level.
  • Manages delivery risks and intervenes where required.
  • Achieve target Net Promotor Score, in line with KPIs.


  • Provides leadership to all staff to create success, growth and energy, and role models our values in all behaviours and actions.
  • Builds the Best Team - creates a People First culture that attracts and retains the best people, develops talent, rewards success and enables people to build careers at Modis.
  • Coaches and builds skills of all direct reports.
  • Utilises the performance management framework effectively to ensure people have clear performance feedback in order to be their best and develop their careers
  • Builds cohesion between all parts of Modis and champions organisational change initiatives.
  • Partners with all Business Units including National Operations, People and Culture, and Solutions, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the right capability, capacity, systems and processes are in place to identify and deliver repeatable business opportunities and ensure a People First Winning Culture.
  • Achieve target Consultant Target results, in line with KPIs, especially eNPS
  • Oversees the account leadership team and the account cultural leadership team
  • Maintains succession planning for key roles within the account to enable rotation and career growth for our consultants

Finance and Commercial

  • Manages assigned account or accounts to deliver financial results to achieve the accounts Sales, Margin % target, in line with KPIs.
  • Ensures forecasts and budgets are accurately created and managed
  • Maximises consultant utilisation
  • Provide an escalation point towards the client for commercial issues around WIP, Debtors (DSO), etc.
  • Ensures commercial agreements are in place and approved in accordance with Modis policy


  • Ensures timely submission and approval of all time sheets.
  • Ensures compliance with all Modis and Adecco Group policies and procedures.
  • Supports Quality Reviews and Internal Audit processes.
  • Acts as the highest escalation point within the account.
  • Approves all operational activities in line with the appropriate TOAA
