About You

As a Specialised Banking Manager/ Account Manager, Trade & Working Capital (TWC), you will provide working capital finance solutions to support a trading business’s cash flow requirements, allowing Business customer to meet their growth aspirations. Proactively research, identify, and source external to NAB and / or internal (existing NAB customer) new trading business opportunities. Create a presence and high level of TWC product understanding and awareness within the organisation and the business market place. Manage and ensure a customer’s payment risk, delivery risk, and sanctions obligations are compliant and managed appropriately.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Drive and deliver positive contribution to overall team engagement.
  • Monitor T&WC facilities to ensure the customer’s needs are met ongoing and where the commitment limit is considered to be inappropriate, liaise with the banker to review the limit in line with the customer’s cash flow requirements.
  • Effectively manages the correlation between limits and utilisation rates, therefore ensuring that the appropriate level of funding is available for the customer.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is enhanced through relationship management (via planned visitation program), proactive calling and identifying opportunities to improve services and provide customer efficiencies.
  • Educating Business teams on working capital products and services.
  • Build brand presence across the Business Centres ensuring a collaborative team approach.
  • Minimise customer defections due to service issues or other matters within area of direct influence or control.
  • Approval of TWC product annual reviews and increases for existing clients.
  • Review and assess the content of the field examination reports on the portfolio customers and identify any risk-related issues within SLA’s. Action plans to be proactively developed and managed to address the risk-related issues, and advise Credit Manager of the issues, decisions and/or recommendations.
  • Active involvement in the recovery of outstanding TWC liabilities in conjunction with SBS/Relationship Managers, the Bank’s professional advisers and other appropriate stakeholders to ensure bad debts are minimised, and collect outs are optimised.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities for TWC and NAB through conversations with clients and their advisers and review of information provided.

Experienced in building and maintaining relationships with Business customers, your ability to engage with stakeholders and to work with complexity whilst balancing conflicting priorities will ensure your success. You have deep insights and experience in understanding the pain points and challenges that business owners face and have the ability to translate business strategy into palatable execution to ensure successful delivery against target.
