Laboratory Operator – Somersby

Part of the CSR family, our Construction Systems Business Unit comprises of Cemintel™ Fibre Cement Systems, CSR Hebel and AFS Walling solutions. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems that cover internal linings, residential and commercial façades, flooring, and innovative proprietary wall and framing systems. This role will support the CSR Hebel product out of the Somersby facility.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Laboratory Operator to join the team in Somersby. This role supports the broader process, technical and quality teams to deliver on operational excellence. The Laboratory Operator will undertake testing on raw materials for the process operations, as well as the finished product. Communication skills should be sound with need to pass on findings to key stakeholders regarding compliance, product & process stability to ensure continued smooth operations.

What would make you a good fit for the role?...

  • High level of attention to detail to report accurately and identify key data points.
  • Ability to follow compliance standards whilst driving a continuous improvement approach.
  • Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
  • A background in engineering, or laboratory work is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in a lab or similar with ability to follow testing procedures succinctly.
  • Role runs as shifts which rotate week about from 6am-2pm and 2pm to 10pm. Loading rates apply. Compensated overtime may be required occasionally aswell.
