* Annual Salary Range: $87,640 - $99,438 per annum plus superannuation

About the Team
The Policy and Innovation Team drive future transport opportunities, legislative and policy reform, and imbed a deep understanding of the user and innovative technology.
About the Opportunity
The Commercial Strategy division develops strategic commercial and policy advice for current and upcoming major transport services reform initiatives that drive the delivery of an integrated transport system.
The Project Officer will work within a multi-disciplinary team and support the division through efficient and effective administrative, business and project support. The successful applicant will have project support and/or administration experience relevant to complex strategic/commercial projects in a government setting.
About You

* Demonstrated experience providing business / project support to senior management in a complex commercial business unit / policy development area / commercial project, ideally in the public transport or Government sector
* Excellent organisational skills including the ability to determine priorities and meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands including, understanding of team priorities to tailor and provide project management support. Identification of issues and timely escalation of issues where required
* Excellent written communication to prepare briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language and contain necessary information to achieve their intended purpose
* Demonstrated ability to be proactive and work flexibly in a dynamic environment and drive to improve business outcomes and processes
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to negotiate, influence and advocate outcomes and maintain important stakeholder relationships.


* A relevant tertiary degree would be well regarded.

Role specific requirements

* Project support/ administration experience relevant to complex strategic/commercial projects in a government setting ​
* Advanced level understanding of relevant computer programs to generate data, reports or charts including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other applications utilised for maintaining purchase order/payment procedures, systems and records management.
