Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring an Enterprise Account Manager to help guide the current and future use of AWS services focused in a large enterprise.
Large enterprises have challenges unique to their scale and required transformation to continue to invent new value propositions, improve their ability to compete, adapt their processes and augment their customer experience.
As an AWS Account Executive based in Perth, Western Australia, you will lead a team responsible for providing global management of a key accounts. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, directly and with partners, monitor deployment of projects and engage virtual and global resources. You will execute on a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team and subject matter experts for executive sponsorship, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

This is a very hands-on role where you will be expected to possess large account management experience, good technical background, and polished communication skills. You should be comfortable working with many autonomous technology and business groups one day, and presenting to an Executive Committee the next. The ideal candidate is a rapid self-starter, prepared to work on innovative integration opportunities under aggressive deadlines, work with AWS service teams to accelerate AWS services adoption, and work with cutting edge AWS technologies. You will have ownership of customer relationships and their subsidiary relationships in some locations, and influence them locally and abroad; identify customer’s business and technology challenges, align with strategic programs; design, build and execute an account plan jointly with your greater team and the customer with simple, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline including opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business in untapped customers

Manage numerous opportunity streams concurrently & strategically

Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS

Analyze sales/metrics data from your account to help evolve your strategy

Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement

Work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities

Assist customer in identifying use cases for priority adoption of Amazon Web Services as well as best practices implementations

Develop long-term strategic relationships with key stakeholders

8-10 years of technology sales experience with a focus on outside sales (quota-carrying)

Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals

Experience in positioning and selling technology in new customers and new market segments

Experience in proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer’s business

Functioned in an environment where they managed an account list in technology sales which included large growth in net new opportunities

Translate customer business and technology priorities into technology solutions

Proven track record of consistent territory growth and quota obtainment

Strong verbal and written communications skills.


A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
