Seven West Media (SWM) is the leading listed national multi-platform media business based in Australia. We comprise thewest.com.au, PerthNow.com.au, thegame.com.au, The West Australian, The Sunday Times and associated Perth metro and WA regional newspapers.

SWM WA have created a new management role in which we are looking for a candidate to coordinate our Digital strategy across Editorial, Subscriptions, Advertising and Technology. This candidate will have strong Project management skills and would have ideally coordinated similar stakeholders within a news media or digital business.

This is a six-month contract based in our Osborne Park office.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Overall responsibility for the digital product management and product delivery at SWM WA

  • Manage the product roadmap and plan for all digital products

  • Chair the cross-functional Digital taskforce, being the single point of accountability for the taskforce outcomes

  • Partner with executives and business stakeholders to identify key capability requirements and identify potential issues

  • Partner with the Editorial team on the coordination of subscription-driving content and features

  • Partner with the Advertising team on the delivery of digital advertising initiatives and strategy

  • Partner with Digital Technology team to manage the roadmap to ensure that requirements are delivered on time and per expectation

  • Partner with the Customer Engagement team to develop and implement Digital subscriber growth and retention strategies

  • Partner with Marketing team to develop marketing strategies and ensure implementation of initiatives

  • Be the escalation point and ultimate owner for product, project and operational issues with the Digital products

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

  • Media / publisher industry experience

  • Content strategy & SEO management

  • Digital marketing
