About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Special Care Nursery at Casey Hospital as a temporary part time Neurodevelopmental Therapist. This position is integrated into the Monash Children's Allied Health team and is well supported by the neurodevelopmental therapist at Monash Children's Hospital and the Monash Children's Allied Health Manager. You will work with infants and their families/carers to improve the neurodevelopmental outcomes of infants within the special care nursery.

Monash Children's Hospital Allied Health is a dynamic service with dedicated, highly skilled clinicians. Working across both Monash Children’s Hospital and Casey Hospital. We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your clinical and leadership skills. 

About you

You will have highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated commitment to best practice care. This position is ideal for an experienced occupational therapist or physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment and to expand on their leadership skills and advanced clinical reasoning.

What we’re looking for in you

  • A relevant physiotherapy or occupational therapy qualification
  • Current unconditional AHPRA registration
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Significant clinical experience (at least 7 years)
  • Experience in the management of neonatal caseloads
  • Leadership &/or service development experience

Location

The role will be based at Casey Hospital. Travel may also be required to Monash Children’s Hospital and Dandenong Hospitals, and community locations.
