Our Voice Clients team is looking for an energetic and experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about creating a robust, mission critical voice client that is a very important part of Five9’s contact center solution. In this position you will need to work on many different technologies like SIP, WebRTC, ICE/ICELite, Web Sockets, VDI etc. You need to have hands on experience in the technologies and software development, and be able to work independently with product managers and cross teams. You are a problem solver and able to investigate and debug problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of an agile team to develop next generation softphone
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering leaders and test engineers
  • Understand stability and scalability principles and apply when developing software
  • Be able to document and communicate clearly
  • Be able to configure, Troubleshoot and support

Key Skills
  • 5+ years of industry experience in developing, configuring and troubleshooting VOIP clients
  • Hands on experience in writing code in C and C++
  • Hands on experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks and technologies.
  • Experience in developing software in virtual desktop environments such as Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop 7.15+, VMWare Horizon 7+ is a must
  • Deep understanding of Zero client, Thin client and HDX, ICA, PCoIP protocols
  • Deep understanding of Virtual Channels used by Citrix and VMware and hands on experience in writing custom virtual channels: SVC or DVC, Browser Content Redirection
  • You have a deep understanding of VOIP, WebRTC and cross-browser compatibility.
  • You’re a jack of all trades and you have mastered several languages and technologies already; you can easily adapt to any situation when the need arises and come with the right solution.
  • Experience working on complex problems and systems
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team
  • Positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude with a strong-sense of ownership
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with any public cloud platform is a plus
